I'm sorry Odle is not the best player in LPD. Compare the stats between the two. Mullins would win in almost every, if not all, categories. I am not sure about the boy's POY or boy's COY but I think that they got this one right. I'm not taking anything away from Odle, she is a great ball player but put the two head to head and I would take Mullins any day.
How in the world did Scottie Vermillion not be named Coach of the Year in the LPD? How in the world did Jamie Hackney or Tihlee Anderson not be named Player of the Year? And, how in the world did Cody Salyer only make Honorable Mention? [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wall.gif[/img]
Mullins is a fine player but I would take Haley in that match up any day.
I guess because of to many 50 pt games.
Why would you take Odle? Just curious as to why you think she is the better player? I think Mullins has much more depth. She knows the game and can play any position on the floor. She has great post moves but can also shoot the three and dribble the ball. Although Odle is a great post player, she seems very one-dimensional. Also, I think Mullins is the better player on defense. That is why I give her the edge.
Take Odle off of Gate City's team and they don't even make the regional tourney. She put that team on her back numerous times throughout the season despite being double and triple teamed. You obviously didn't watch her play enough to know that she's not a one dimensional player. If I need to provide stats to back that up, I can do that.
The thing is that you can argue all you want about an individual award and that's fine. I'm sure Haley would take winning multiple district titles, multiple regional titles, being on a state semi-finalist team, and winning a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP any day.

Yeah, and after that she could play Larry Bird, Michael Jordan,and Magic Johnson on consecutive days and win all 3 of those as well.
Not really, but definitely win against Odle!
NO ONE IN THE LPD CAN HANDLE THE BALL LIKE ANDREW ADKINS AND I DON'T KNOW ANY OTHER PLAYER THAT PUTS IN THE TIME THAT HE DOES. GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IT DUE!!!!!
